Season 2 Recorded
Season 2 Episode 1 progress report

I’ve been feeling creatively refreshed lately. The weather has grown warm, well most of the time. We just won’t count the sudden cold snaps and down pours. I live in a place where spring often looks like winter, right up until it suddenly doesn’t. I’ve been on the years first backpacking trip, an exploration up the lower Salmon River where I explored a strange little hot springs pooled at the entrance to an old mine. I took a soak. The dog got himself stuck down the hill. A good time was had by the both of us. Well, as long as you don’t count the point in the hike where I lost the trail and had to frog march the dog up a steep incline. No one had a good time during that.
I took advantage of my time off from the podcast to work on a little photography side project, a website called Into the Open Sky. The site takes its title from an interactive fiction game I made about the Palace of Mirrors for a contest years and years ago. At some point I’ll probably update it and post it here, but it has some major spoilers for the end of Season 2, so that’s going to be a project for the future.
As for Season 2, well, I’ve started work on it. The first episode “Embers in Stone” has been recorded. All I have left to do now is the editing…which, okay, thats sometimes the most frustrating part of the whole process, but I’m hoping to have it out by the end of the week. In the mean time I also wrote and recorded a teaser for the second season, which I’m posting today.
I sometimes struggle with these little promotional pieces, but I think this one turned out well. Today also happens to be the day that the first episode of the podcast recieved its 350th download. I’d love to tell you that EVERY episode has 350 downloads, but I guess I should save my lies for something more important. Still, I’m happy with the progress I’ve made on the podcast.
Thank you so much to everyone who makes space for my little, or not so little, story in their life.
